Joint ITU–Saudi Arabia Masterclass Training — Space Communications Infrastructure, Satellite Regulation and Sustainable Non-Terrestrial Networks
Space communications are becoming a critical layer of national digital infrastructure. The rapid development of LEO satellite communications, direct-to-device connectivity, non-terrestrial networks, satellite IoT and 6G-integrated architectures is creating new opportunities to connect underserved areas and strengthen resilience — while introducing new regulatory, spectrum and sustainability challenges.
The joint ITU–Saudi Arabia Masterclass brings together regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders for a practical, interactive programme focused on the technical, regulatory and policy foundations of satellite communications and sustainable non-terrestrial networks.

Radio Regulations principles, spectrum allocations for satellite services, GSO and non-GSO systems, coordination, notification and harmful-interference prevention.

LEO/MEO/GSO architectures, satellite broadband, direct-to-device, HAPS, satellite IoT, multi-orbit connectivity and integration with terrestrial networks and 6G.

National satellite policy and licensing, market entry and authorization, competition and consumer issues, universal access and institutional coordination.

Managing congestion and harmful interference, responsible use of spectrum and orbit resources, resilience of space systems and space as critical infrastructure.

The Masterclass runs the day before the main event, as a practical capacity-building bridge into the NTN, 6G, direct-to-device and space sustainability discussions that follow.
Applying for the Masterclass does not register you for the Global Space Connectivity & Sustainability Events on 12–14 October, and registering for the main event does not reserve a Masterclass place. Please complete both if you wish to attend both.
Places are limited to only 40 selected participants and participation is by selection. Places are limited. Participant acceptance is subject to profile review and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
